Look What’s Happening at the Outlive Yourself Foundation

By July 12, 2019 No Comments

For the past six months, you may have seen some exciting announcements coming from the Outlive Yourself Foundation – an award-winning logo, construction of a new state-of-the-art organ donation facility, and even a new piece of branded merchandise – an Outlive Yourself NIKE sock!

And that’s just the beginning!

We are funding transplant recipients with emergency relief grants, we have been speaking out in the community to help support donor registration, and we have some amazing events on the horizon. These events and your support helps fulfill our vision to care for donor and recipient families, educate the community about the ability to Outlive Yourself, and advance transplant science through ground-breaking research.

We have also had some staff changes. Many of you know that the Outlive Yourself Executive Director, Emily Allbright, has moved on from the Foundation to a new opportunity. Emily was an important part of our organization’s building blocks, and we will miss her tireless pursuit of excellence on behalf of our organization.

As always, we have a passionate team in place who are committed to the Outlive Yourself mission.

This work is so much more than a job to me. As President of Outlive Yourself, I’ll always be involved as the heart and soul of this organization. I am driven by my most important role – donor mom. I will always work to keep donor families at the heart of what we do. I work closely with Kirsten Gappelberg, Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Foundation Relations for Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA) and the Outlive Yourself Foundation. Together with the strategic direction from STA leadership, Kirsten and I work to keep the Outlive Yourself Foundation train moving down the track! And, an entire team of professionals are supporting the Foundation’s social and traditional media, special events, volunteer projects, and more. Caitlin Cahalan, Marissa Walker, and MacKenzie Mitchell are critical members of the marketing communications team at STA, and they support the day-to-day operations of the Foundation as well.

I am excited to share a couple of events we have planned!

November 4, 2019 – Golf Tournament at the Dallas Athletic Club
March 31, 2020 – 5th Annual Outlive Yourself Awards (Details and Save the Date coming soon!)

I truly am very excited about the future and am grateful to you for your continued support of our very important mission.

Outlive Yourself,

Tara Storch Signature-1
