For those of you who might not have been following our journey since the beginning, the Outlive Yourself Foundation was formed by Southwest Transplant Alliance in 2018 to invest in community education, care for donor families and transplant recipients, and work to advance transplant science. We are funded 100% by contributions, and we use that money to invest in the community and in our future. We are excited to have a couple of big events coming up and we hope that we can count on your support!
Outlive Yourself Foundation will be participating in North Texas Giving Day, an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits. This year’s event is on Thursday, September 19th. North Texas Giving day helps build awareness and support for nonprofits like us and helps us raise funds to redirect back into the community. Scheduled giving begins on September 9th, so mark your calendars to give any time between September 9th-19th! Make sure to also follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletters for updates about North Texas Giving Day!
Recently, we were lucky to be the grateful recipients of the proceeds of Adolfson & Peterson Construction’s Annual Charity Golf Classic. AP is the company responsible for constructing our new state-of-the-art facility in Dallas – a 75,000-square foot medical facility and donor memorial garden that will serve as our new headquarters. You can read more about this groundbreaking new facility at organ.org/future.
In addition, AP is participating as a sponsor at this year’s 26th Annual Phil Berry Transplant Tournament, an event that directly supports the Outlive Yourself Foundation! The Phil Berry Transplant Tournament is an annual event to raise awareness about organ donation and to raise funds for emergency grants for transplant recipients. This year’s tournament is on November 4th at the Dallas Athletic Club. We still have openings for sponsors and golfers for this year’s tournament, so head to our website for more information!
We are so grateful for the support of our community! If you have any questions, would like to attend an event, or would like to volunteer with us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
